During the G20 Social program, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Workers’ Party) made an appeasing statement without naming names, saying, “This is a campaign where we don't have to offend anyone.” The statement was related to the exchange of insults between First Lady Janja da Silva and billionaire Elon Musk.

“This is a campaign where we don't have to offend anyone, we don't have to swear at anyone. We just have to outrage society,” said the president on stage at the Global Alliance Festival: Pro dia nascer feliz (For the day to dawn happily, in rough translation), in the presence of Janja, the current Minister of Culture Margareth Menezes, and Brazilian singer Gilberto Gil.

Before Lula's statement, the First Lady gave a speech on the fight against fake news, saying: “I'm not afraid of you. Fuck you, Elon Musk.”

Hours later, the billionaire wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “They're going to lose the elections soon,” responding to a post with Janja's video.

Musk was one of the main donors and ers of Donald Trump's campaign, which won the US elections earlier this month. A week after the result, the new president announced that the billionaire had been invited to the government in a new Department of Government Efficiency.

In addition to financial , Musk's social network, X, was identified as the epicenter of disinformation in the US presidential elections. The Center for Countering Digital Hate in the United States conducted the survey.
